Nike KD 19 "Blueberry Blast": A Monochrome Blue Take On Kevin Durant's Candy Colors Line
ALEX NGUYEN•July 26, 2026
Nike has officially released images of the KD 19 "Blueberry Blast", Kevin Durant's nineteenth signature shoe, first teased through a comedic ad spot featuring Drake. In the clip, Durant pulls one ugly shoe after another out of his locker to needle Drake, who keeps praising them no matter what, before finally revealing the real Blueberry Blast pair.
The Tonal Design Language Continues
The KD 19 carries the Tonal philosophy across its entire Candies lineup, with each Colorway built around a single dominant hue covering the whole shoe. On the Blueberry Blast, a Still Blue shade runs across the Upper, Midsole, Outsole, heel, and side panel, giving the pair a distinctly futuristic look. The mesh at the collar and Tongue is done in a slightly lighter shade of blue, creating a subtle material contrast without breaking the monochrome effect.
The standout detail is the glossy finish on the Upper, which calls to mind Foamposite construction, a material closely tied to Penny Hardaway, one of Durant's childhood idols. Embossed side detailing, a molded Swoosh, and the KD logo on the Tongue and insole round out the design.
Performance Still Centers On Speed And Control
On the performance side, the KD 19 keeps its familiar low cut build, prioritizing comfort and ball control to match Durant's style of creating quick separation on the court. This follows the direction Nike has taken with recent KD releases, trimming overall weight while keeping the stability needed for a player with standout height who still moves as fluidly as he does.
Nike KD 19 "Blueberry Blast"
The KD 19 "Blueberry Blast" is expected to release on July 29, 2026 through Nike SNKRS and select retailers, priced at $155, adding to a Candies lineup that already includes the red and orange, purple, and butter yellow pairs.
