SLAM x Nike Basketball Set to Launch New Collection
ALEX NGUYEN•August 15, 2026
Nike Basketball has officially teamed up with SLAM, one of the defining names in American basketball culture for over three decades, on a four-shoe collection carrying the publication's editorial spirit. It marks a notable collaboration, with SLAM branding landing on high-performance signature models alongside one nostalgia-driven lifestyle silhouette for the first time.

The collection spans four models: the Nike Sabrina 4, Nike Ja 4, Nike G.T. Cut 4, and Nike Zoom Hyperflight. Each pair draws on graphics pulled from SLAM's past covers and archived issues, tied together by the publication's signature Safety Orange running throughout the set.

Sabrina Ionescu's Sabrina 4 pairs a mint base with orange accents, featuring a graffiti print across the upper that extends down to the insole, while her "S" logo sits near the SLAM branding underfoot. Ja Morant's Ja 4 takes an asymmetrical approach, leaning heavier into orange on one side while the other stays mostly grey, with a translucent outsole and a tongue that splits SLAM and Ja branding between the two shoes. The G.T. Cut 4 goes darker, built on a black and grey base with graffiti graphics running down one side and orange speckling scattered around the heel. The Zoom Hyperflight, the only non-signature model in the collection, comes in Safety Orange patent leather paired with a Smoke Grey exoskeleton and outsole, echoing early-2000s basketball aesthetics.

Pairing modern signature models with a heritage silhouette like the Hyperflight reflects an approach that honors basketball's past while staying tied to its present.
SLAM x Nike Ja 4
The SLAM x Nike Basketball collection is expected to launch in August 2026, with the G.T. Cut 4, Sabrina 4, and Zoom Hyperflight arriving first this Fall, followed by the Ja 4 during the Holiday season. Retail pricing is set at $135 for the Sabrina 4, $140 for the Ja 4, $170 for the Zoom Hyperflight, and $210 for the G.T. Cut 4.
