Willy Chavarria x Adidas Megaride AG "Bubblegum": Pink Just Went Loud

Willy Chavarria x Adidas Megaride AG "Bubblegum": Pink Just Went Loud

CHRIS P. BACONAugust 05, 2026

Willy Chavarria keeps building out the Megaride AG lineup with adidas Originals, this time dropping a "Clear Pink" colorway called "Bubblegum" for summer 2026. It's the third colorway in the line, following the Black and Cream pairs that launched earlier this year, and it shows Megaride AG carving out its own lane within the partnership.

From Archival To Futuristic

Megaride AG has already been turning heads in adidas' current lineup since it dropped back in January. Rooted in adidas' early-2000s Megaride tech, the shoe's defining feature is its oversized hollow TPU midsole tunnels, giving it a sculptural look that reads more like concept footwear than your average lifestyle sneaker. On the Bubblegum pair, that experimental shape hits a new peak, wrapped head to toe in pink.

Pink Takes The Lead

A few early listings tagged this colorway as "Powder Red," but the official name is confirmed as "Clear Pink," covering nearly the entire shoe from the mesh base to the TPU overlays and the exaggerated tooling underneath. "Powder Red" only shows up as an accent, most visible on the oversized co-branded hangtags on the laces and the bold "Chavarria" branding on the tongue.

Materials And The Story Behind It

On the materials side, the shoe balances lightweight mesh with suede paneling and glossy synthetic overlays, breaking up what would otherwise be a fully monochromatic build. That pastel treatment also ties back to Chavarria's go-to rose palette and romantic color language, the same one running through his wider apparel collections.

What stands out most is how Megaride AG keeps rolling out new colorways, proof that Chavarria and adidas are pushing a bolder direction than the usual designer collabs that just keep recycling archival pieces. The result is a genuinely loud shoe that still stays wearable thanks to that softer pastel finish.

The Willy Chavarria x adidas Megaride AG "Bubblegum" officially drops August 7, priced at $200.
