A fresh rumor is circulating among sneakerheads suggesting Jordan Brand could be reviving the Air Jordan 4 "Encore," the model long associated with Eminem, this time swapping the original red accents for purple. The claim comes from an account that tracks sneaker news rather than any official statement from Nike or Jordan Brand, so everything below should be treated as unverified for now.

The original "Encore" first surfaced in 2005 as one of Jordan Brand's earliest sneaker collaborations. Only 50 pairs were ever made, gifted exclusively to friends and family of the rapper to mark the release of his album of the same name. That version paired Blue Ribbon with Varsity Red. A second run followed in 2017, when 23 pairs were produced for a charity raffle.
If this new rumor holds up, the only change from the 2005 design would be the red details switching to purple, namely the Jumpman branding and the upside down "EMINEM" tag hidden behind the tongue. Everything else about the silhouette would stay true to the original.

Should the report be confirmed, the shoe is expected to arrive sometime around mid May 2027 with a retail price near $225, though that timeline still hinges on official word from Jordan Brand.
