Nike Book 2 "Pretty Penny": Devin Booker's 1959 Impala Tribute

Devin Booker is once again pulling inspiration from his personal car collection for his signature line. The Nike Book 2 "Pretty Penny" draws directly from his 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible, one of the classics that first sparked his passion for collecting.

The pair leads a four-sneaker collaboration between Nike, Chevrolet, and Booker, following last year's Book 1 collection built around his vintage Chevy Blazers. This time, the focus shifts to his Impalas, with four Book 2 colorways representing cars from 1958, 1959, 1962, and 1963.

"Pretty Penny" takes its name and color story from Booker's 1959 Impala, translating the car's warm bronze-brown finish across the upper. The tongue design nods to the Impala's hood ornament, while "'59" detailing references the model year of the original vehicle. The pair also arrives in custom packaging inspired by vintage Chevrolet Accessories boxes, complete with retro teal and orange graphics.

Booker's tie to the project goes beyond the car itself. The Michigan native has long spoken about his love for classic Chevrolet models, storing his collection in a garage he calls "The Library."

The rollout also includes a "Heartbeat of America" T-shirt, a nod to Chevrolet's well-known advertising campaign from the 1980s and '90s. The remaining three Impala-inspired Book 2 colorways are expected to follow in December. Nike Book 2 "Pretty Penny" is set for a global release on August 26, 2026, at a retail price of $155.
