The Kobe 5 Protro picks up the Los Angeles Dodgers theme that made a strong impression through the Kobe 6 Protro "Dodgers" back in 2025. This marks the first time the Dodgers concept has landed on the Kobe 5, one of the most well-regarded entries in Kobe Bryant's signature line thanks to its low-to-the-ground build, a direct reflection of how Bryant played.

Rush Blue covers most of the upper, echoing the road jersey colors associated with the Los Angeles baseball club. A Wolf Grey Swoosh with a white outline runs along both sides for contrast, while Comet Red baseball-style stitching appears near the heel, the clearest nod to the Dodgers theme without leaning on team branding. The snakeskin-style texture familiar to the Kobe line shows up across the support panels and eyestays, and an embroidered Kobe sheath logo sits on the tongue.
