adidas Brings Cow Print to the Japan, Superstar, and Taekwondo

adidas Originals is preparing to launch a women's "Cow Print" collection, bringing together three familiar silhouettes in the Superstar, Japan, and Taekwondo, each built with the same black-and-white pony hair upper. It's a case of one material applied across three very different shoe personalities, and the result highlights what makes each model distinct rather than making the pack feel repetitive.
The adidas Superstar "Cow Print" carries the most detail of the three. Cream Three Stripes sit on top of the spotted upper, joined by the model's signature black shell toe and a white midsole. Burgundy laces round out the look, adding a warmer accent against the black-and-white base.

The adidas Japan "Cow Print" takes a more restrained approach. Blue laces provide a subtle contrast against the printed upper, while cream trim runs along both sides of the shoe. The tongue, lining, and outsole all stay in matching black. The Japan's naturally narrow, low-profile build leans into the model's vintage track roots, and that silhouette only becomes more apparent once paired with the cow print material.

The adidas Taekwondo "Cow Print" offers the boldest read on the material. Its laceless upper leaves the pony hair print largely uninterrupted, save for three thin cream stripes. A black sole closes out the design, keeping the shoe streamlined even with the print covering most of the upper.

What stands out is how differently the same material reads across each shoe. On the Superstar, the cow print feels heavier and more substantial, matching the model's chunky build. On the Japan, it comes across as sharper and more refined thanks to the slim silhouette. On the Taekwondo, the print is stripped down to its simplest form, in line with the model's minimalist identity.
