Nike KD 19 Candy Paint Black Debuts In All-Black Finish

Nike is expanding the KD 19's Candy Paint lineup with the Candy Paint Black colorway, the most understated release in the series so far. The shoe comes wrapped entirely in black, letting the construction and material details carry the design rather than color.

The upper is anchored by a glossy molded TPU shell that wraps from the midfoot into the heel, creating a deep shading effect as light hits it. The design draws from Kevin Durant's Slim Reaper nickname, expressed through a signature dagger-shaped structure running along both sides of the shoe. Black mesh covers the tongue for added texture, balancing out the glossy TPU panels so the monochrome build still reads with contrast.

The Swoosh branding is tonal, staying in a supporting role rather than standing out, which keeps the dagger-shaped TPU structure as the visual focus. A molded number 7 sits at the heel, while the KD logo on the insole appears in Stadium Green, giving the pair its one rare pop of color.

On the performance side, the Nike KD 19 Candy Paint Black keeps the same foundation as the rest of the KD 19 line, built with full-length Zoom Strobel cushioning paired with Cushlon 3.0 foam and multi-directional traction for the responsiveness and grip needed on court.
